Mr & Mrs Allan, Lancefield Quay
Our client wanted to create a sumptuous contemporary look to their stunning duplex apartment in Glasgow City Centre with
scenic open views onto the River Clyde. Having had a laminate floor in light oak, Mr and Mrs Allan were looking for a change,
and given that their apartment offered lots
of natural daylight and a range of modern colours and fabrics they opted for a Haro
South American Walnut engineered
hardwood wide plank. The varied tones of natural walnut blended beautifully with dark
brown leather chairs, the dark oak dining
table, red leather sofa, white plain walls and striking silver wallpaper on a feature wall.
The advantage of Engineered Hardwood in
this case was the ability to lay it on top of a concrete floor without the need to glue onto the concrete. Engineered Hardwood can be floated on top of an underlay and clicks together. This makes for easier installation
and a very long lasting stable floor. We
have fitted many hardwood and laminate floors in the Lancefield Quay apartments in Glasgow, as the natural light and city views enhance the look of the wooden floors.
