Living in the south side of Glasgow our
client in this case had two young children
and they were fed up with having to continually renew and clean their carpets, especially with the cream carpets in their lounge and hallway. They wanted to install
a new hardwood solid floor which would not only vastly improve the look of these rooms but also offer a practical flooring solution
that would guard their home against
spillages and wear and tear from children.

Mr and Mrs Mclachlan quickly decided that
a solid hardwood floor was the right choice. We took many hardwood samples into their home to help them envisage how the hardwood floor will look against their
interiors, and offered samples from various

manufacturers such as Boen Khars, Tarkett and Haro. They finally opted for a Caledonian solid hardwood oak in a brushed and lacquered finish. The natural rustic tones of the oak worked well with their various decorative finishes from reds to creams and a colourful sofa. Mrs Mclachlan commented on how delighted she was with the overall look and was looking forward to leaving the vacuum cleaner in the cupboard and letting the kids do want they like on the floors without worrying about spillages.

We have found that many families with young children and pets benefit from wooden flooring as it helps them to maintain a clean and smart looking home, without the need to continually clean and vacuum carpets. Hardwood flooring lasts generations when maintained properly.
