At First floors, we have a great range of oak floors for you to choose from. Oak is just so robust and the grains and knots are gorgeous. If you are looking for a really natural look then the brushed and oiled is ideal. The surface of the wood has been brushed and then given about 6 coats of oil. This process gives a real warm and natural finish and really is gorgeous. Lacquered boards have been extremely popular and our oak boards come in the lacquered versions as well. For some customers the lacquered look is exactly what they want, and as we have said before it all comes down to personal taste. We have lovely hand-scraped boards which will give your floor a real warmth and lived in feel. Theses boards come in an antique and wheat finish. They have proved very popular and as they are lacquered, they will be maintenance friendly and any marks will just add to the character of the floor!
