Fitting oak engineered wood flooring in Dowanhall
Oak engineered wood flooring is a very popular choice among our Glasgow customers, especially those living in traditional villa/sandstone houses and apartments and wanting a very authentic floor.
This customer lived in the Dowanhill district of the West End of Glasgow in a lovely basement apartment. They opted for a long plank engineered click oak. They had a very large living area and this oak engineered wood flooring looked great with their decor.
Originally they had old floorboards, and although these can look nice if they are sanded and treated with a finish, we find that original floorboards are cold and drafty, and are very hard to keep clean. They also tend to make houses and apartments very dusty as they were never meant to be lived with uncovered as many houses have them. However, a nice wood floor will look uniform, original, authentic and is very insulating and great under the feet. Our client was thrilled with their new floor and it completely transformed their home.
